Soihtu’s common rooms and reservable spaces remain closed for March – learning spaces and Gym available with limited reservation capacity
JYY and Soihtu will follow the guidelines of the Finnish government concerning the lockdown in March. Due to lockdown, most of the Rentukka’s common rooms will remain closed until 31st of March. Rentukka's Gym, Weight-lifting room and Learning Spaces will be open for reservation starting from 1st of March.

The City of Jyväskylä will organise coronavirus testing in Kortepohja on Saturday, 6 February 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The testing place is a separate facility in the Kortesuo day-care centre, address Taitoniekantie 9 E. For many Soihtu Housing tenants, this is better known as the Kortepohja Student Village building E.

The vintage car Susanna of the Student Union of the University of Jyväskylä has been revealed in the Kortepohja Student Village. The showroom is located in the newly renovated building C of Kortepohja Student Village, at the corner of the Rentukka square. The car is visible to all passers-by around the clock.
