Kuva kalustetusta opiskelija-asunnosta Kortepohjan ylioppilaskylän E-talossa. Kuvassa osa keittonurkkausta, jossa näkyy liesi ja osa kaapistoista. Asunnossa on nojatuoli, verhot, pöytä ja tuoli sekä sänky. Seinällä on kaksi valkoista hyllyä ja lattialla tummanharmaa matto. Lattia vaaleaa puuta imitoivaa vinyyliä, keittonurkkauksen kaappien ovet vaaleaa puuta imitoivaa levyä, muutoin asunnon pinnat ovat valkoiset.

Furnished apartment in Jyväskylä

A furnished room in a shared apartment is an easy option for an exchange student. This communal housing type is great opportunity for an exchange student who is moving to a new city since it is an easy way to get to know new people.

During academic year, the furnished apartments in the buildings E, M, N, R, S and Q of Kortepohja Student Village are reserved for exchange students. Our Functional homes in buildings A and C are for degree students.

Kortepohja Student Village

Living in Kortepohja Student Village is easy because electricity, district heating and network connection are always included in the rent. In furnished rooms also water is included in the rent. In addition, it is free to use the laundry rooms and common sauna turns are available every day.

Rentukka building in the middle of the Student Village is praised by our tenants – many people choose our apartment because the gym and studying spaces in Rentukka are in free use of our tenants. The student-priced lunch is served also after lectures so if you aren’t interested in cooking at home, you can stop by Rentukka to eat!

Tenancy agreement for exchange students

The tenancy agreement is made for whole months, so the agreement begins on the first day of a month and ends on the last day of a month. The tenancy agreement can be valid for a fixed term (academic year or semester) in a furnished room / studio.

How to apply?

Furnished studio in building E in the Student Village

Some studio apartments are available for the exchange students of the University of Jyväskylä. During summer months these apartments are available for short time rent.

Apartment size is 20 square meters and you have the whole apartment for yourself with a private bathroom and a kitchenette. In studio apartments the water is not included in the rent. Notice, that in the studio, you pay water advance 15 € / person / month.

Furnished rooms in buildings M and N in the Student Village

Furnished shared apartments in buildings M and N in the Student Village are for two people. Own, lockable bedroom and shared kitchenette and bathroom will be in your use as a tenant of buildings M and N.

Room size is about 12 square meters.

Kirjoituspöytä ja tuoli ikkunan edessä. Etualalla sänky.

M-talon makuuhuone. Etualalla sänky, jossa on tummanharmaa päiväpeite ja yläpuolella lukulamppu. Lattialla on tummanharmaa matto ja huoneen nurkassa nojatuoli. Sänkyä vastakkaisella seinällä on työpöytä, työtuoli ja työvalo.

Furnished rooms in buildings Q, R and S in the Student Village

Furnished shared apartments in buildings Q, R and S in the Student Village accommodate 3-4 people. Own, lockable bedroom and shared kitchen and bathroom will be in your use as a tenant of buildings Q, R and S.

Rooms are different sizes in the buildings R and S. Room size is about 14 square meters in the apartments in building Q.

There is also a balcony in every apartment of buildings R and S.

Kuva kalustetusta huoneesta Kortepohjan ylioppilaskylän R-talossa. Huoneessa on kirjoituspöytä, pöytälamppu, tuoli, roskakori ja vaaleanpunaiset verhot. Lattialla on tummansininen matto ja kuvan etualalla näkyy osa sänkyä. Lattia on puuta imitoivaa vinyyliä ja muuten asunnon pinnat ovat valkoiset.

In Kortepohja Student Village there are variety of services near-by and most of them included to your rent. Restaurant, gym, studying spaces and rooms for hobbies can be found from Rentukka. Get to know the facilities of Rentukka by watching the video below!

Furniture and items in furnished apartments

In the room, there is a bed, mattress, blanket, and pillow, a writing desk, chair, and armchair. The apartment’s kitchenette or kitchen has a refrigerator, and you have access to dishes and cooking utensils. Towels or bed linens are not included in the furnishing.

As a tenant, you are responsible for cleaning your apartment and doing household chores. Basic cleaning items can be found in the furnished apartments.

All furnished apartments include WiFi access.
