Items in furnished apartments
Some of the studios (building E) and shared apartments in Kortepohja Student Village are especially furnished for exchange student’s of needs and are equipped with basic furniture and housewares. In summer, they offer a great option for summer workers, for example, who need a temporary accommodation in Jyväskylä.
When moving in check the list below and make sure you have everything included and the condition of the pieces is fine. If you find something missing, broken or otherwise in insufficient condition, make a maintenance request to Soihtu Facility Services. Remember that as a tenant of the furnished room have a responsibility to take care of the condition of the furniture.
When moving into a furnished room:
- Bring your own towel and bed linen set, because they are not included in the furniture.
- Notice, that in all of the apartments, there are type C sockets (known as the Europlug), so make sure your electric devices matches the socket or you have an adapter.
- Remember that the furnished apartments are non-smoking apartments, and pets are not allowed.
- Check the list below and make sure you have everything included and the condition of the pieces is fine. If not, make a maintenance request as soon as possible. This way you will not be responsible of the missing items.
- 1 single bed

- 1 foam mattress
- 1 mattress cover
- 1 desk
- 1 desk lamp

- 1 pillow and 1 duvet blanket (150 x 210 cm)
- 1 rug
- 1 mirrow
- 2 shelves
- Built-in wardrobe
Kitchenette:
- microwave oven and kettle
- 3 cooking pots (2 lids)
- 1 frying pan
- 1 potholder
- 5 plastic ladles
- 2 tea mugs
- 2 drinking glasses
- 2 large plates
- 2 small plates
- 2 bowls
- 2 sets of cutlery (tea spoon, table spoon, fork and knife)
- 3 kitchen knives
Cleaning closet:
- one string mop
- plastic bucket with a mop strainer
- brush and a dustpan set
Items in your own room:
- 1 single bed (80 cm)
- 1 foam mattress
- 1 mattress cover
- 1 desk
- 1 chair
- 1 armchair
- 1 pair of window curtains
- 1 pillow and 1 duvet blanket (150 x 210 cm)
- 1 rug
- Built-in wardrobe
Kitchen/kitchenette (the number of kitchen utensils depends on the apartment size):
- microwave oven and kettle
- 2 – 4 cooking pots (with lid)
- 2 – 4 plastic or wooden ladles
- 2 – 4 tea mugs
- 2 – 4 drinking glasses
- 2 – 4 large plates
- 2 – 4 small plates
- 2 – 4 bowls
- 2 – 4 sets of cutlery (tea spoon, table spoon, fork and knife)
- 1 table + 4 chairs (buildings Q, R and S only)
Cleaning closet:
- one string mop
- plastic bucket with a mop strainer
- brush and a dustpan set
In addition to rent, the tenant pays for a monthly furniture fee. You can see the furniture fee on the apartment offer and the rent invoice.
