Parking places
Parking is allowed only on the marked car parks. The parking places of Soihtu will be rented in the eParking system. A parking fee will be paid in the eParking system as well.
If you want to rent a parking place, you must first apply for the right to reserve a parking placed based on your address. You can queue for the parking place before your tenancy agreement begins, but it has to be signed. More information on renting a parking place can be found at the webpage of eParking.
Permanent car parking available in following housing locations:
- Kortepohja Student Village
- Soihtu Vehkakuja
Notice, that Soihtu Korttelikylä is a car-free housing location, where only guest parking is available.
Place without heating 11 €/month (only in the Student Village)
Place with heating 13 €/month
Place with shelter, no heating 15 €/month (only in the Student Village)
Place with heating and shelter 23 €/month
Place for electric car 33 €/month (only in the Student Village)
When making new parking place agreement, the key/token for the heating pole can be requested via Tenant’s page to be left in the key box at the service point of Soihtu Housing. You can also use a coin to open the heating pole that can be opened with a token.
When you are moving out, you as the tenant must terminate the parking space agreement with eParking to end at the same time as the tenancy agreement. The landlord also has the right to terminate the parking space agreement to end simultaneously with the apartment tenancy agreement.
Parking is allowed only on the marked car parks. Guest parking places are marked separately. You can park in guest parking places according to the traffic signs in the area. MKM Park Service Oy supervises the parking in Soihtu’s housing locations.
Kortepohja Student Village
Starting from 1.9.2025, the guest parking spaces (16) will be located at the end of the old shopping center, in the middle of the asphalt area. Sale and Subway (in building U), have four guest parking spaces. The spaces are marked, and their use is guided by traffic signs.
The customer parking places of Restaurant Rentukka are located in the parking area between buildings T and B as well as near building H.
Soihtu Vehkakuja
Starting from 1.9.2025, the guest parking spaces will be located next to the bike storage of Vehkakuja A building. All parking spaces in the lower yard, which are reserved for offices during the day, will serve as guest parking for tenants in the evenings and on weekends. Parking is regulated with traffic signs.
Soihtu Korttelikylä
Guest parking places are situated in the inner yard of housing location.
Parking is allowed only on the marked car parks. MKM Park Service Oy supervises the parking both in the Student Village and at Vehkakuja 2. Possible complaints must be addressed straight to MKM Park Service Oy.

The parked car’s registration number must be correct in the eParking system because the parking control is based on scanning the registration plate. It is possible to add several car registration numbers to the same parking space.
