Furnished apartment

A furnished room in a shared apartment is an easy option for an exchange student. This communal housing type is great opportunity for an exchange student who is moving to a new city since it is an easy way to get to know new people. For those who want privacy, we have some studio apartments available (only for the exchange students of University of Jyväskylä).

Living in Kortepohja Student Village is easy because water, electricity, district heating and 1GB Funet broadband connection are always included in the rent. In addition, it is free to use the laundry rooms and common sauna turns are available every day. Rentukka building that is in the middle of the Student Village is praised by our tenants – many people choose our apartment because the gym and studying spaces in Rentukka are in free use of our tenants. The student-priced lunch is served also after lectures so if you aren’t interested in cooking at home, you can stop by Rentukka to eat!

The tenancy agreement is made for whole months, so the agreement begins on the first day of a month and ends on the last day of a month. The tenancy agreement can be valid for a fixed term (academic year or semester) in a furnished room / studio.

Furnished rooms in buildings M and N in the Student Village

We have the furnished shared apartments for two people in buildings M and N in the Student Village. Own, lockable bedroom and shared kitchenette and bathroom will be in your use as a tenant of buildings M and N.

Room size is about 12 square meters in the apartments in buildings M and N.

There is a shared kitchenette and bathroom in the apartments in buildings M and N.

Furnished rooms in buildings Q, R and S in the Student Village

We have the furnished shared apartments for 3 or 4 people in buildings Q, R and S in the Student Village. Own, lockable bedroom and shared kitchen and bathroom will be in your use as a tenant of buildings Q, R and S.

Rooms are different sizes in the buildings R and S. Room size is about 14 square meters in the apartments in building Q.

There is enough space for cooking with your flatmates in the apartments in buildings Q, R and S. There is also a balcony in every apartment of buildings R and S.

Furnished studios in building E in the Student Village

Some studio apartments are available for the exchange students of the University of Jyväskylä. During summer months these apartments are available for short time rent.

In studio apartment you will have the whole apartment for yourself with a private bathroom and a kitchenette.

Apartment size is 20 square meters in the furnished studio apartments in building E.

Equipment of furnished room/studio

You will have basic furniture in your room (bed, foam mattress, pillow, duvet blanket, rug, table, chair and armchair). No towel or bed linen set are included in the apartment, so you need bring your own.

You can use basic housewares in the kitchen/kitchenette of your apartment.

WiFi connection is also available in every furnished shared apartment and furnished studios in building E in the Student Village!
