Repair Village kicks off at Rentukka in August
Got a hole in your favorite jeans or a slightly broken chair? Come join a relaxed Repair Village that meets once a month to fix, customize, and learn together! Our first Repair Village meeting will be in Rentukka’s club room on August 19th from 4–6 PM.
There won’t be professionals on site—but plenty of curiosity, willingness to experiment, and some hands-on experience. If you’d like to help others with mending, sewing, or using basic tools, you’re more than welcome too. Let’s share skills, help each other, learn new things, and get to know one another in a laid-back atmosphere.
Bring along a garment or other project to repair, as well as any supplies you might need. During the meetups, you’ll have access to the following shared tools and spaces at Rentukka:
- Sewing machine
- Darning mushrooms and needles
- Embroidery hoops
- Fabric shaver
- Hot glue gun
- Tool kit
- Rentukka club room and workshop
Rentukka restaurant is nearby if you get hungry or feel like having a coffee! The club room also has a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker for your own snacks.
The meetings are free and open to everyone. Welcome!
