Renovation works begin at Rentukka square
Plans to make the square in front of Rentukka safer and more pleasant have been under development for some time. The plans have also been discussed with the Village tenants’ committee.
As part of the improvement works, additional greenery and new outdoor seating and gathering areas for tenants will be added to the square. New landscape features, plantings, and outdoor furniture are intended to help reduce vehicle speeds in the area to improve safety, and create more enjoyable outdoor spaces for tenants. Emergency access routes and maintenance traffic have been taken into account in the planning, and maintenance vehicles will continue to operate in the area in the future.
The renovation works at Rentukka Square will begin on Thursday, 23 July 2026. Daily working hours will generally be between 7:00 and 18:00. The heavier construction work is expected to be completed no later than 21 August 2026. The schedule for planting work and the installation of outdoor furniture will be confirmed once delivery times have been finalized.
During the construction period, there will be increased construction traffic in the area. Tenants are kindly requested to be aware of their surroundings, pay attention to site traffic, and take extra care when passing through the area. Construction areas will be fenced off, and access inside the fenced areas is strictly prohibited.
