The tenancy for your apartment includes an internet connection provided by Soihtu (depending on the location, 1-3 Gbit/s or wireless),
The fiber-optic speed network of Soihtu is implemented by Lounea.
Soihtu transferred from the Funet connection to the Lounea network at the beginning of 2025.

The Lounea broadband connection is connected to your apartment’s outlet. To use the Lounea broadband, you will need your own network cable that supports gigabit speeds (at least CAT 5e) and an RJ-45 connector standard. For security reasons, Lounea recommends using an Ethernet router.

Your apartment is equipped with a Wi-Fi router, which allows you to activate a wireless connection alongside your cable connection.

TV and digital television adapter
There is cable TV network of Elisa or DNA in the housing locations of Soihtu (excluding building Q of the Kortepohja Student Village). This means a digital television adapter must be compatible with a cable network.
If you don’t succeed tuning channels to your digital television adapter and can’t find a signal, first restore factory settings of the digital television adapter after which you can tune the channels normally. More specific instructions you can find in the user manual of your device.
