Soihtu revises the booking terms and conditions for JYY’s reservable party and meeting rooms from 1.8. onwards
Soihtu, which operates the reservable party and meeting rooms owned by JYY, will review the conditions for bookings from 1st August 2022 onwards. The reservation fees for Opinkivi sauna will have to be increased due to increased maintenance costs, and a service charge will be introduced to cancellation refunds for covering up the costs of the online payment operator.
Sauna prices from 1.8. on will be the following:
- Opinkivi sauna price 210 € (old price 200 €)
- Opinkivi sauna for JYY members 130 € (old price 120 €)
- Outdoor jacuzzi added to sauna reservation 70 € (old price 60 €)
- Jacuzzi outdoor hot tub added to sauna reservation for JYY members 40 € (old price 30 €)
Service charge for the refunds of usage fees of the reservable party and meeting rooms
Upon the revision of the booking terms and conditions for the reservable premises, a service fee for cancellation refunds will be introduced. This service fee will be charged from the customer in case they cancel their reservation and the reservation fee is returned to the account number provided by the customer.
The amount of the service fee is 5 € / refund. The service fee covers the costs of the payment operator platform used by the customer upon their reservation payment, the costs of which have been borne by JYY before the change in terms and conditions.
In the future, if the customer requests a cancellation in accordance with the booking conditions, JYY will return the booking fee, from which the service fee has been deducted, to the bank account specified by the customer.
The service fee applies to the following reservable party and meeting rooms, the booking fee payments of which take place online via a payment operator platform:
Opinkivi sauna and meeting room, Bastu sauna, Bertta meeting room and leisure room Lillukka.
The introduction of the service fee does not apply to reservable group work, club and study facilities, laundry rooms or resident saunas used by the residents of Soihtu Housing.
The terms and conditions of JYY’s reservable party and meeting facilities operated by Soihtu will be harmonized from 1.8. onwards.
Soihtu operates several reservable party and meeting rooms owned by JYY. These include Opinkivi sauna and meeting room, Bertta meeting room in the Kortepohja Student Village, the Bastu sauna and the Lillukka leisure room. The booking terms and conditions for the premises in the different locations have previously differed in some details. The booking conditions will be clarified in order to harmonize the customer experience and simplify the use of the rooms. Customers who frequently use the facilities may notice harmonization in eg. cleaning instructions, repairing prices and cancellation policies for the facilities. These changes do not affect the common facilities that are included in the Soihtu Housing tenants’ services (e.g. clubrooms, groupwork room etc.)
The new terms and conditions are already available on Soihtu’s website in June 2022. By August 1st, a link to them will also be available on JYY’s own reservation page, in the booking service and in the booking confirmation message. The old terms are applied to reservations made prior to 1st of August.
