Saunas
There are public sauna turns for all our tenants in all our housing locations. The sauna in building A is also available to the users of Rentukka gym. If you want to have a sauna by yourself, you can reserve your own weekly sauna turn. On this page you will find information on where saunas are located and what keys do you need to enter the sauna.
One private sauna turn costs 10 € / month (1st of March 2024 onward). Sauna fee is paid each month together with the rent.
Instructions for saunas
- There are public sauna turns in all of the housing locations. In addition, tenants can book their own weekly sauna turn in the booking system on varaus.soihtu.fi.
- The tenants of the Student Village can book their own sauna turn in buildings F, H, K, L, Q, S and T. The tenants of Vehkakuja can book their own sauna turn in buildings A and C of Vehkakuja 2. The tenants of Soihtu Korttelikylä can book their own sauna turn in building D sauna.
- Sauna turn fee has to be paid monthly together with the rent.
- There are also unisex turns, which you can use regardless of your sex. During the unisex turn, also the dressing rooms and showers are shared.
- Everyone going to sauna is responsible for the cleanliness of the sauna premises – take empty shampoo bottles and others to trash.
- It is forbidden to dye your hair in the sauna premises.
- When you leave, make sure that you take all your belongings with you – do not keep your towels or other supplies in the sauna premises.
- Practice good and polite manners when going to sauna. Let everyone have a sauna in peace and leave sauna premises on time.

Locations of the saunas
Kortepohja Student Village
There are two separate saunas in building A – one for men and one for women. Saunas are located on the 9th floor and you can get there on a lift. You can enter the sauna premises either with a separate Village Key or Rentukka key card, your own contactless key card or a Rentukka Gym key card.
There are both public and bookable sauna turns in building F. The sauna is located in staircase B, on the 8th floor. You can take the lift to the 8th floor. You can enter the building either with a separate Village Key or your own contactless key card.
There are only bookable sauna turns in building H. The sauna is located on the top floor of staircase C in building H. You can enter the sauna premises with a separate Village Key or your own contactless key card.
There are only bookable sauna turns in building K. Enter the building through the front door that is closest to the construction site of the school and daycare center. Go down the stairs and turn right to the corridor to find the sauna premises. The tenants of building K do not need a separate key. Other tenants need a metal key for their sauna turns. The key can be picked up at the Soihtu Housing Service point during its opening hours.
There are only bookable sauna turns in building L. You can enter the sauna premises on the bottom floor of building L (from the side of building K). You can enter the front door with a separate Village Key or your own contactless key card. The door to the sauna premises is not locked when there are booked turns.
There are only public sauna turns in building N. The sauna is located on the bottom floor of building N. Walk from the stairs towards the corridor that connects buildings M and N. The door is at the corner. You can enter the sauna premises with your magnetic key card. If you do not have a magnetic key card, you can get one at our service point.
There are only public sauna turns in building P. The sauna is located on the bottom floor. Walk straight forward from the lift and turn left. You can enter the sauna premises with your magnetic key card.
There are only bookable sauna turns in building Q. You can enter the building through the door closest to building B. The sauna is located on the bottom floor near the mailboxes. You can enter the sauna premises either with a separate Village Key or your own contactless key card.
There are only bookable sauna turns in building S. You can enter the building through the door closest to building R. The sauna is located on the bottom floor. You can enter the sauna premises either with a separate Village Key or your own contactless key card.
There are only bookable sauna turns in building T. The sauna is located on the top floor of building T. Walk left from the lift to the end of the corridor. You can enter the sauna premises either with a separate Village Key or your own contactless key card.
Soihtu Vehkakuja
There are both public and bookable sauna turns in Vehkakuja. The saunas are located on the top floor of buildings A and C. There are two saunas in both buildings. You can enter the sauna premises with your magnetic key card.
Soihtu Korttelikylä
The tenants of Soihtu Korttelikylä have an opportunity to bath both in public turns and book their own sauna turns. The sauna for private sauna turns is located in the ground floor of building D and the public sauna is located on the ground floor of building B in Korttelikylä. You can enter the sauna premises with your own key card.
