Reforms to services
Starting in September, you can make an appointment at the Soihtu Housing Service Point (Vehkakuja 2) through an online booking system.
The booking calendar for the upcoming autumn will open on August 15, from which date customers can book a personal service appointment.
“We recommend booking a service time through the reservation system so that we can provide you with a calm customer service experience and prepare for your matters in advance if necessary,” advises Soihtu Housing service manager Jenni Kirkkomäki. “By booking a personal service time, you avoid waiting in line and keeping your schedule on track.”
You can still visit the service point without an appointment in the autumn, starting from September, every Wednesday. The service point will be open on those days from 12 pm to 3:00 pm. Customers will continue to be served by phone and email on every working day.
On the first working day of each month, the service point will be open as before from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Therefore, no appointments can be made for the first working day of the month even after the reform. New tenants are given keys to their apartments on the first working day of each month, so the service point may be busy on those days.
“Until the end of August, our service point at Vehkakuja 2 will operate according to the current opening hours, so if your tenanct agreement begins in August, you can visit our service point during the current opening hours,” Kirkkomäki reminds.
The easiest way for movers to collect their keys is by requesting them to be placed in Soihtu’s key box. The tenant can pick up the keys when it’s best for them, as the key box operates 24/7.
Rental goods machine in Kortepohja
The Rentukka info desk will close from August, and the space will be transferred to the Kortepohja Student Village tenants’ committee during the autumn. In the future, the keys for common rooms will be managed through the Soihtu Housing Service Point and the key box.
The Rentukka info desk’s loan items will be transferred to the rental goods machine. This way, Soihtu residents can borrow items more easily, as borrowing is not tied to customer service hours. The rental goods machine will serve Soihtu and nearby residents in the lobby of the Rentukka building starting in September.
Easy everyday life
According to feedback from Soihtu residents, the majority prefer to conduct their business through electronic channels, such as email and online services.
For example, you can conveniently handle the following matters regardless of your location:
- On Tenant’s page, you can view your up-to-date rent payment status and update your email address and phone number in our system.
- Through the booking system, you can book an own sauna turn, a laundry turn, or common rooms.
