We are looking for a Content Creator
Are you a Soihtu resident who knows their way around TikTok short videos and social media trends? Would you like to build your communications experience and get paid for it, too?
We are once again looking for social media –savvy tenants who want to help spread the joy of student housing to future students as well. This is a great opportunity to create something new and make a real impact on resident community spirit
What does the content creator role involve?
- Your task is to come up with ideas for and create inspiring social media content about student life and living at Soihtu for Soihtu Housing social media channels. The content will be produced as short-form videos, following pre-defined themes and content guidelines.
- Duration of the assignment: 4–5 months (between May and September 2026).
What we expect from you:
- You are living in a Soihtu apartment.
- You have experience with social media, especially filming and editing short videos (TikTok / Instagram Reels). You don’t need to be a professional—as long as you’re willing to be creative, try new ideas, and appear on camera with your own face!
- You can produce content in Finnish or English.
- Content should be filmed and edited using your own equipment (microphones and a tripod can be borrowed from Soihtu).
What we offer you:
- Interesting work experience and a low-threshold opportunity to practice video content creation and social media work.
- A chance to create something new and influence resident-related matters and community-building.
- Compensation based on the amount of content produced (€100–150 per short video, approx. 20–30 videos). You can influence the number of videos yourself, and the assignment is designed to be manageable alongside studies or a summer job.
- Support from a friendly marketing team—we’ll coach and help you along the way.
How to apply:
Send us a free-form video application by 10 May 2026 via email to Soihtu’s Development Specialist at jenna.pigg@soihtu.fi.
The position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found!
