Soihtu didn’t have any foreknowledge of last weekend’s event – we apologize for the disturbance
A yard event has been organized in front of Rentukka on last Saturday, November 7, 2020, for which we have received feedback to Soihtu Housing customer service. Soihtu or Rentukka did not know about the event in advance, and thus we have not been able to notify our tenants about the event or the possible disturbance caused by it. For our part, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Live music and communal activities are important and cheerful things, but the event organizer should always have the permission of the landowner when organizing an event. In addition, a notification of the noise to the environmental authorities must be made when music is played using audio equipment. It is also the responsibility of the event organizer to inform tenants of the surrounding areas of any possible disturbance.
The normal guidelines for dealing with disturbances apply also when the disturbance happens in outdoor areas. First, try to talk to the person who is causing the disturbance. If this is not possible, you can contact the Soihtu Facility Services, so the security guard can visit and calm down the situation if necessary. In the event of a serious disturbance (eg. threat of violence, intoxicants), it is advisable to seek immediate police assistance in order to calm the situation immediately. The emergency number is 112.
