Remember the rent increase in March
The rent increase in 2023 will be 2.0% for the D and E buildings in the Student Village and 2.5% for other housing locations. The changes will take effect from 1 March 2023. The increase is based on higher interest and loan servicing costs as well as general maintenance costs. The rent increase does not apply to the Soihtu Vehkakuja two-bedroom apartments and Soihtu Korttelikylä apartments.
In January and February you will still pay the old rent. The rent increase will not change your reference, unless your agreement changes on 1 March 2023. If your rent is paid by someone else or you receive housing benefit, for example from Kela, remember to inform the payer of the increase. Easier Service – New Opening Hours
The Soihtu Housing Service Point now operates at the Ilokivi Student Union Building on campus together with JYY Member Services. During the autumn, the opening hours of the service point will be unified to make customer service even clearer and smoother.
