Tenant magazine Kylä is here again
Soihtu’s tenant magazine Kylä is published. In the newest magazine you can found stories of, for example, tenant democracy, popular cultivation boxes and rent control.
- Soihtu’s communications manager tell her first encounter with the core of tenant democracy. On the page 3 you can find the story of tenant democracy and donuts.
- Heli Hämäläinen remembered clearly why she was ready to invest her time in the tenant’s activity. ”It was about organizing free-time activities, for which lots of resources were available, and any crazy idea could be carried out.” (p. 13)
- ”Many passers-by got interested when seeing us take care of the plants. It brough up nice conversations with our neighbours”, says Soihtu’s tenant Laura Del Castillo Munera who grew plants in a cultivation box last summer (p. 20).

Soihtu’s Tenant magazine Kylä is published twice a year – every spring and autumn. The magazine is delivered to every Soihtu tenants’ home. You can also find it from Rentukka’s lobby and Soihtu Housing’s service point.

Reforms to services
Soihtu wants to offer its customers the smoothest possible customer service experience. Starting in September, you can book a personal service appointment at the Housing Service Point through the online booking system.
When you move out, return the keys as instructed – this ensures the next tenant can move in on time
We instruct the tenant to return the keys on time to ensure the new tenant's move goes as smoothly as possible. The compensation price list now includes charges for incorrect and late key returns.
August apartments offered
All apartments available at the beginning of August have now been offered, and most have already had tenancy agreements signed. Individual apartments or shared rooms may still become available at the beginning of August if someone declines their apartment offer.
