Learning Spaces
In Kortepohja Student Village and Soihtu Korttelikylä you can find separate learning spaces to focus on working without interruptions and away from your housework.
There are two studying spaces in Rentukka and they both are for quiet working. The Learning spaces in Rentukka are in use for all tenants of Soihtu 24/7.
The Study room in Korttelikylä is available daily from 7 am to 11 pm to all tenants of Korttelikylä. Next to the study room, you can find a separate meeting room.
Devices in Learning Space of Rentukka
In the space next to the lobby of Rentukka, there are six desktops and five posts for working with your own laptop. In the studying space in building B, there are six desktops and six post without computers. An all-in-one printer with the University’s PrintIt service is in the studying space in Rentukka.
Kindly notice, that the devices in learning spaces are only available for the students and the staff of the University of Jyväskylä. Others can use their own devices.

Happy news for the Kortepohja district: Subway signs a lease in the new U-building of Soihtu
Soihtu has signed a lease with Subcom Oy on the retail space located on the ground floor of the U-building, which is currently under construction. Subcom is Finland's largest Subway franchise company. A Subway restaurant will opened by Subcom in the U-building when the new building is completed in spring 2025.
